Divisional Officer Marlon Small

Divisional Officer Mr. Marlon Small, was officially appointed on the 1st of November 2022 during his career he has assumed the role of Officer in Charge of the Central Division, with responsibility for the Bridgetown, St. John, and Bridgetown Port Fire Stations. The areas of Fire Prevention and Code Enforcement Unit are under his remit.
Officer Small who joined the Fire Service on December 2, 1996, previously held responsibility for the Barbados Fire Academy. During his twenty-three years as a firefighter, he was assigned to the Worthing’s, Airport, Bridgetown Fire Station, and the Barbados Fire Academy.
In service to his country, Officer Small was a member of the humanitarian search and rescue team deployed to Dominica. Officer Small is also the recipient of the Caribbean Fire Officer of the Year in 2012.
He graduated from Jefferson Community and Technical College in 2008 with an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Fire and Rescue Technology. Divisional Officer Small’s philosophy is “Only the best is good enough”.
