Mr. Damian Bayne enlisted in the Barbados Fire Service in November 2006. He developed a passion for excellence and knowledge within the operations of the Barbados Fire Service. His dedication to service has earned him several prestigious accolades: Fire Officer of the Year, the Humanitarian Award, and the “Defence Board Commendation” for his exceptional leadership and strategic contributions during “Trade Winds 2024.”
Mr. Bayne was attached to the Fire Academy on January 1st, 2019, where he excelled in emergency management and competency-based training. He was later promoted to Station Officer on June 15, 2023, taking over the responsibilities of Training Officer at the Barbados Fire Academy.
Station Officer Bayne continues to advance best practices in curriculum design, instructor development, and course delivery. His passion for preparedness and structured planning ensures that teams and communities are equipped with the tools and strategies needed for effective response and recovery across various sectors, including schools, community groups, and the public and private sectors.
