The Barbados Fire Service (BFS) is urging the public not to become complacent as the prevailing dry conditions impact the country. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings as the frequent incidence of grass fires continue to occur across the island.

The increased number of fires has placed a high demand on the services of the department. However, the Fire Service will continue to execute its mandate to protect life and property by deploying and mobilising resources as reports are received.
