Ernle Fields was enlisted in the Barbados Fire Service on the 15^th of January 1986. Upon leaving Training School he spent his early Fire Service days at the Worthing Fire Station and throughout his career has had the opportunity to work at all of the stations across the island. In 2013 he wore a different hat as he was transferred to the Training and Development Unit now Barbados Fire Academy as an Instructor until 2015. He was appointed to act as Leading Fire Officer in 2008 until May 2018 where he was appointed to act as Station Officer, he is now carrying out the duties of Divisional officer and has responsibility for the Bridgetown Fire Station.
